Every year, 150,000 tons of plastic waste enter European waters, while the global plastic waste in marine areas reaches 8 million tons.
Approval to ban the use of disposable plastic products from 2021 is a victory for the ocean, the environment, and our future generations.
Aplus has been working hard on developing biodegradable products to replace disposable plastic products,
and the good news is that some biodegradable products have been successfully mass-produced at this stage.
Corn Straw
The physical characteristics of the product are the same as ordinary products, and there is no difference in appearance and performance compared to ordinary products before degradation begins. The finished product contains 30% -40% natural straw material, which is partially degraded. Currently, mass-produced products include toothbrush handles, combs, razor handles, shoe pulls, and bottles.
Wood
It can be made into toothbrush handles, razor handles, combs, shoe extensions, and clothing brushes, and it comes from 100% natural tree species. But it is necessary to maintain good dry storage conditions.
Bamboo
It can be made into toothbrush handles and combs, which are made of 100% pure natural bamboo. But it is necessary to maintain good dry storage conditions.
Paper
Usually used for packaging, it can be made into boxes and packaging bags without plastic. The raw materials come from natural wood pulp. It is biodegradable.
EPI additive
The physical properties of this product are the same as ordinary products, and there is no difference in appearance and performance compared to ordinary products before degradation begins. Usually, 2% of the ingredients are added, and after oxidation and biodegradation, this additive can be added to any plastic product
PLA
Polylactic acid (PLA) is a novel bio based renewable biodegradable material made from starch raw materials derived from renewable plant resources such as corn and cassava.
